Use sandpaper, wire brush or grinder to rub the surface of tinplate sheet to remove rust attached to the surface. This method is suitable for small areas and shallow rust, but for large areas or severely corroded iron plates, the efficiency is low and it is easy to damage the tin layer on the surface of the iron plate.

According to laboratory measurements and literature data, the thermal conductivity of tinplate sheet is usually between 50-60 W/m·K. The specific value depends on factors such as the composition of the steel base, the thickness of the tin layer, and the manufacturing process.

The primary reason why tinplate sheet loses its gloss is the oxidation reaction on the surface. Although tin is relatively difficult to react with oxygen in the air, under certain conditions, tin will still form an oxide film, causing the surface to lose its gloss.

Tinplate sheet printing usually uses the offset printing process. This printing method uses the principle of oil-water separation to transfer the pattern to the surface of the tinplate sheet through a printing machine.

For conventional food cans and beverage packaging, the shelf life of tinplate products is usually around 3-5 years, depending on the nature of the contents. For some special-purpose tinplate products, such as chemical barrels or tool boxes, the service life can reach more than 10 years.
