
The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair for short), founded on April 25, 1957, is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It is co-sponsored by The Ministry of Commerce and The People's Government of Guangdong Province, and undertaken by China Foreign Trade Center. It is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the widest range of commodities, the largest number of purchasers, the widest distribution of countries and regions, and the best transaction effect in China, and is known as "China's First Exhibition"
The Canton Fair has flexible and diverse trading methods. In addition to traditional sample trading, online trade fairs are also held. The Canton Fair mainly deals with export trade, as well as import business, and can also carry out various forms of economic and technological cooperation and exchanges, as well as commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, consulting and other business activities. The Canton Fair pavilion is located on Pazhou Island, Guangzhou, with a total floor area of 1.1 million square meters, including 338,000 square meters of indoor exhibition hall and 43,600 square meters of outdoor exhibition area. The fourth phase of the Canton Fair Pavilion project will be put into use during the 132nd Canton Fair (autumn fair 2022). The pavilion will have a total exhibition area of 620,000 square meters, making it the largest exhibition complex in the world. Among them, the indoor exhibition area is 504,000 square meters, and the outdoor exhibition area is 116,000 square meters.
